If there's one thing that a person can call me, it'd be a book worm. Yes, I know that that's completely geeky and lame, but that's who I am, who I have been, and who I'm going to be. Reflecting this aspect of me, my summer as of now has been basically dedicated to books. Mostly it's been reading them, but a little of it has been the beginnings of writing my own. Unfortunately, I've only fully written a chapter, and barely started on a second one. *sighs*
One would think, after reading books in just about every genre known to man, writing a book yourself would be a relatively easy process. Oh how I wish that was how it worked for me. Sadly, no matter how much you've read and how well you know literature, everyone gets writer's block at some point in time. THAT is what I've been facing when it comes to Chapter 2, causing me to get frustrated and bury my nose into a book instead. It seems like the best answer.
As for the books I've been reading, it's varied to a large degree. I've gone from a trilogy that resembles a post apocalyptic world novel, to a vampire lit series. Don't worry, it's not Twilight. I read that a few years ago, BEFORE the movies came out and totally ruined the series. To anyone that wants to know, I hate the movies, and will agree that Robert Pattinson needs to GO AWAY. I don't, however, hate the series itself. I thought it was a fun story, and if the casting was done better, the movies could've been great too. We all, however, know what happened with the casting. Ugh. Just ugh.
I guess a better first post would've been something more about who I am and what I like and what I don't like and stupid stuff like that. Sadly, I didn't think of that until I was almost done writing this post, so maybe I'll do that for the next one. And so, to end this post, I have one word for all of you...
